Want to try wakeboarding or waterskiing?
Have you ever tried waterskiing or wakeboarding after a boat? It can be a challenging start, but in a cable park it’s a completely different story. Most of our visitors have no experience with wakeboarding, yet they are all on their first ride.
It’s not as hard as it looks and it’s certainly not intimidating. Wearing a wetsuit, vest and helmet, you’ll float on top of the water and feel safe. The pull of the cable comes from above, making it easy to get onto the board. With instruction and advice from our experienced instructors, you’ll quickly master the technique and enjoy both the speed and the experience.
You don’t need to book a time if you want to come and use the cable in general.
opening hours….. If it says “open”, you can just drop in with your towel and we’ll help you with the rest. But if you want to sign up for the beginner course or book a group event, you can do so here.
European Wakeboard Championships 2022 at Thy Cablepark
In 2022, Thy Cablepark proudly hosted the 23rd European Wakeboard Championships in the picturesque town of Thisted. This spectacular event brought together over 200 of the world’s best wakeboarders from 20 countries, including several professional athletes who competed in the acrobatic water sport throughout the week.
To create an inclusive atmosphere, the European Wakeboard Championships had free entry, giving everyone interested the opportunity to experience this amazing event and support the athletes on their path to success.
Thy Cablepark is proud to have hosted this prestigious championship and looks forward to continue bringing world-class wakeboarding to Thy and creating unforgettable experiences for athletes and spectators alike.
