Have you ever seen people being dragged behind a boat and thought “that looks really hard”? In the cable park it’s a completely different vibe. Most people who come here have never wakeboarded before – and yet they’re riding around on the first ride
It’s actually much easier than it looks on Insta. You get a wetsuit, life jacket and helmet so you feel 100% safe. The cable pulls from above instead of behind, so it’s much easier to stand up on the board. Our instructors are great at explaining everything in a relaxed way – you get tips right from the start and suddenly you’re on the water with the biggest smile on your face.
No booking stress needed Just check the calendar on the website (or on Facebook/Insta) for “OPEN” and drop in with a towel and a good mood. We’ll take care of the rest: equipment, instruction and high-fives. If you want to start with a beginner’s course or bring a bunch of friends to a closed event, just book it – it’s also super easy.

European Wakeboard Championships 2022 at Thy Cablepark
In 2022, Thy Cablepark proudly hosted the 23rd European Wakeboard Championships in the picturesque town of Thisted. This spectacular event brought together over 200 of the world’s best wakeboarders from 20 countries, including several professional athletes who competed in the acrobatic water sport throughout the week.
To create an inclusive atmosphere, the European Wakeboard Championships had free entry, giving everyone interested the opportunity to experience this amazing event and support the athletes on their path to success.
Thy Cablepark is proud to have hosted this prestigious championship and looks forward to continue bringing world-class wakeboarding to Thy and creating unforgettable experiences for athletes and spectators alike.
